Not a newbie... just never dealt with this issue before. Tried reading other posts on power supply issues... but nobody ever brought up sparking.

So I ask... is this new power supply time? Or, the fuse replacement thingy? If this is not the right forum, feel free to move it to the right one.

My Xbox died on me last night, and because I help to softmod folks, and help them with hard drives... having a dead xbox really blows. Help!

Thanks.

Odds are you have a Foxlink PSU and the soldered connections on the bottom have cracked and are loose. If you pull the PSU out and flip it over, you should see on the end were the Xbox power cord plugs in some cracked solder. The plugin receptable may wobble a lot too, which is a sure sign.

Renthal, you are the shiznitoblam! Thank you very much for your assistance. It worked like a charm. I'm so glad no additional parts were necessary. Consider the subject closed. smile.gif

Yeah... that took no time at all. YAY!

This is starting to become more common as the Xbox's with Foxlink's get older. Maybe a quick tutorial should be made for this issue.
