I have several CDRWs laying around they all worked biggrin.gif (turns out thomson is best for cdrw?), but When I transfer the music to my hd in the xbox, its sooooooooooooooooooo slow liek 30 minutes (more most of the time) per cd! Is this cause the disc was scratched? (Igot dirty disc error one time on one of them after trying to transfer for a while...), soo thanks in advance to anyone who can help me smile.gif

well, with an original music disc, it takes me about 5-8 minutes to rip the whole cd (a full disc).. I have the thomson drive as well. Try using a laser cleaner.

Tommorow, I'm gonna go out and but some faster cdrw's (atleast 16x)... the cdrw's I used were 4x... (BTW, I found that in general using a higher mx burning rate disc, give you faster reading as well hehe)

When I get my matrix installed (too lazy) I'm gonna try ftping wma's to the hd

There's a program called Xbox Soundtrack at xbins that lets you transfer .wma files to your xbox over the network, and is a LOT faster then ripping a CD in the xbox. Very good, and its pretty easy to find programs that will convert .mp3 to .wma
