Bios, What Is It?

i have an old xercuter 2 it doesnt say what bios it is, im having that problem where i save games onto my hardrive and the game doesnt work. ive turned all the game resets off.

whats a bios?is the bios my mod chip?
or is it the evo x programme?
how can i easily get my original games onto my hardrive? do i have to get a new mod chip installed?

bios is basic input output settings, its what drives the xbox

the bios is what allows you to play unsigned code. if you have an X2 then you should be able to flash it with a program called FlashX, correct me if im wrong cuz i dont own a n X2, anyways use that program to flash your modchip with the lastest X2 bios 4983.XX

Get an Evox that has the flashing option in the menu and flash with that. Switch to unprotect. M7 and 4983 are the newer bioses.

i think i have a flashing programme in my dash disk thing i got
it says flash tsop, 1mb MOD with executer 2- 4974 if i flash it, will i lose my games etc?

You don't want to flash your TSOP. You want to flash your chip. And flashing your mod chip bios will not harm your games in any way.

The easiest way is to get off your ass and start doing some research about how to actually do it....
