I'm not sure if this is in the right forum, but we'll see...

Recently, I have noticed a slight rise in CPU and Motherboard temperatures when I plug a network cable into my xbox, and start using the LAN.

Typically, my xbox idles at around 39 C, and is around 41 C after an hour or so playing. When a network cable is in use, the temperatures rise to around 43-45 C.

Has anyone else noticed this?
Is there any thing I can do to reduce this rise?

Yours

Adam

turn up your fan a bit using XBTool, or just use a dashboard that has the option as well, that way when your playing games it will "kick" down and wont distract you

The reason my xbox is idle/running so cool is because my rear fan is already turned up in xbtool, and I have an additional side fan.

I'm presuming that the cpu is having to do extra cycles every few nanoseconds, so this is upping the heat.

I know my question is really off topic an it may not even be known, but Imma ask it anyway, does any1 know what's the highest percent I can set the Fan 2 that wouldn't get any louder then the Original PS2 Fan in all models up 2 50001, in the new model PS2 the fan is now 30% quieter then in older models, the Sound never bothered me at that level, hell I only noticed it when I watched Movies an on quite sections of the movie, but for gameplay it didn't matter. Like I said, SOOOO off topic
