i have modded my xbox with lights etc and i can't think of anything really more to do with my xbox that i think would be gd!

so looking around my round i saw my hub

so i thought that'll be great to mod! its a 16 port hub so it has loads of room inside!

i opened it and it seems to have

2 chips!

1 is a power chip with the switch and power plug

and the other in the hub!, linking these tow chips is6 wires!

yellow, bllack, black,red,read,white!

can some one tell me what these wires are eg for power!

i am guessing that (from hdd's) that the yellow maybe 5 volt but i am not sure!

i am hopeing to cut a hole in the top so i can put in a cathod or what eva and i am hopeing ot put a fan in there as well biggrin.gif

plz can u help!!!

i can get a pic of it if u wish!

Without a voltmeter anything anyone says will jsut be educated guesses. There is no real standard for color-coding power wires inside electronics.

A multimeter is a mandatory tool for this stuff! Get a cheap one at RadioShack and put your mind at ease.
