I have recently been looking to purchase a clear case, but they are too expensive...

I was thinking about using some plexi glass but i was wondering if i would be able to take off the black on the box because i know u are able to remove the green on the jewe,l

If i remove the black on the case will it just come out white or is it clear?

and if its clear how do i get off the black

Thanks

Normal black Xbox cases are 100% black - not clear plastic coated in black. So, that idea won't work.

People have made their own plexiglass cases before, so if you wanted to start cutting pieces of that out, you could make a case that way. Check the galleries to see some.. I know they are around somewhere.

The plastic is solid blackish-green. And is not painted. It is a solid color.

I cannont even believe somone would ask that question. The plastic was died dark green, which appears black to the untrained eye. AHAH remove paint you think it can go clean ROFLAMO!

I was thinking of filling a tub with hot glue and set the parts of the case inside. Then after it set cut it in half and peal it away from the Xbox, then place the hot glue mold into a tight fitted box, open a hole at the end of the cast and poor in some reason, or liquid plexy or something... then after it dries, melt or pull off the hot glue cast and ... WALA! A CLEAR CASE!!! wink.gif blink.gif jester.gif

Actually... I think I will try it for fun... you never know... I just need 2000 glue sticks now. biggrin.gif

I am not really going to use glue sticks. But, I am going to look up a product tonight that you can poor and it hardens into a semi-soft material similar to dried hot glue.

Donít know if it will work... but, its worth a shot. I think the hardest thing would be to get the stuff to pull out of the threaded screw holes with out ripping. I was thinking of not using screws to hold it down... but... I have not even tried it yet so I will worry about that later. biggrin.gif
