I've recently been looking at the ram upgrade to 128 and will most likely upgrade the to the 128 mb.

Now as you all well know, there are two clock speeds to the K4D263238F ram (200 mhz and 250 mhz). My question is would it be advisable to take the standard ram chips (the QC-50's) off the xbox mainboard and then replacing them with the faster ram (the QC-40's), or is the xbox specifically designed to only take the QC-50's?

-40 or -50 shouldnt matter,

-40 chips hould work at the slower rate anyway, even the data sheets suggest tghey're pin compatible
