Yes i'm a noob but i've been following these board for a year now. Just didn't have anything to input until right now.

It might be QA marks, but it looks awfully like the letters BG...and then bill gates below that with a sharpie. But I figure it is printed on the board. How come the other boards haven't be checked off by QA?

I did hear about halo editions with bill gates's sig and a message that was sent to people who worked on halo and halo 2.
Pics coming later tonight.

The BG is NOT "Bill Gates".

The signature ones cannot be confused.

I remember when I was a kid there was a rumor about Cabbage Patch Kids having a death certificate inside their heads if you opened one up. As I got older I realized that it really wouldn't be pratical for them to manufacture that into the dolls as it was not their intention for their end users to rip the dolls' heads off. I would think the same thing regarding a possible Bill Gates' signature on the motherboard of an Xbox. It is not their intention for people to open up the system, so why spend any money on something the end user will never see.

Yeah thats pretty logical, and I am also pretty sure Bill didn't personally autograph 200,000 xbox motherboards laugh.gif . Think about it...

There were a few Bill Gates signed editions given out at one point, but they also had a metal plaque on top, or something similiar.

They could not really be mistaken.

The signature on those was visible without opening the Xbox correct? I think I saw a pic of one of those with an autograph on the jewel. I believe it also came with a translucent green duke controller.
