Busted Ds0 Top Ring

well, believe it or not i got my mod chip today and of coarse i f&&ked my box, what a suprise!!!!

I tried to install on the top DS0 point after i couldn't get the wire to stay i went to the bottom DS0, Now my box frags when i turn it on..

I beleive i scraped off the top DS0 ring while trying to clean the MB, guess i did it to hard, anyway what is the best way to repair this.

If needed i can provide pics...

If you have the wire soldered on use a multi meter and see if it is making contact with ground. If it is the it might be one of the LPC solder points.

pic one more time, what is the ring attached to? is it an end point?

What you will have to do is scrape a little of the green stuff of the trace leading to the DO point until you see copper,
After that attach a wire from there to the alternate DO point
That should fix it
If you want to use your chip connect it to the wire linking the points
