Brand New 200gb Segate for sale. It is fully prepaired and partitioned and ready to just plug it into an xbox and play. $105, plus $6 shipping. Or i'll trade for a new 120gb western digital or segate hd, plus $40.

There is nothing wrong with it; it works perfectly.

The two main reasons why i'm selling it:

1) Only 120gb hd will work with the vga bios; if it's over 137gb the xbox running the vga bios will not even recognize the F or G drive.

2) It is not lockable; i tried with config-magic but wasn't able too.

I got a good deal on it; i only paid $105 after a $40 mail in rebate.

True, but it is has only a 2mb buffer. The segate has an 8mb buffer, and 8mb buffer hdd's generally cost more then the 2mb ones.

Specs:

7200RPM 8MB Cache HDD

Mfg Part No: ST3200822A

Ya, i just checked that out. Strange. But there is one guy who said he couldn't either. I tried several times with config magic final, but couldn't. Is there other methods to lock hd's that could work besides config magic?

I have an idea for you. It would require an Xenium mod-chip with the v1.1 OS, but through its hdd management you can lock and unlock the drive. This is a sort of expensive option as the mod-chip is $50. Im sorry if you already knew this just thought I should try and help.

Thanks for the idea, i'll try and unlock it in my ver1.0 xbox, i doubt this makes any difference at all but it's worth a shot.

I'll check and see how much it would cost to ship it to London. But, if it's $10 or more i'll pass.

I've got the same drive in my box and have done 4 other boxes with this drive. It's very lockable.

Tempted to buy it for my 80GB box.

changed my mind:
