I have a Philips DVD drive and I was wondering if anyone, from experience, knows how well memorex dvd media works.

Which type is best -/+R?

Use -R. That is the only thing I use and I haven't had one problem yet with backups.

Same as Rick, I have used Memorex media since the dawn of personal CD/DVD writers... They have always made fantastic media that works great!

Same here, though I finally jumped on the Ritek bandwagon and saved about 50 cents per DVD-R with my last order.

I got 50 Ritek 8x DVD-Rs and 100 windowed sleeves for $37, shipped.

Sorry, I was mistaken. I ended up getting the 4x G04s, not the 8x GO5s. I don't have an 8x burner, and I wasn't interested in spending extra money just to save 6 minutes on burn time.

shop4tech.com

I found a 10% off coupon which saved me $4 and some change. NewEgg also has 50-packs for $30, shipped. I got mine for a tad more, but got the sleeves. If you want the coupon, just Google for "shop4tech coupon" and you should find the 10% coupon code or an even better one.
