Alright I have been attempting to flash my chip for a while with my thompson drive
eventually i gave up and borrowed my buddies samsung drive and flashed it

anyways my point is I am going to need to do the boot disc thing again soon when i get a new HDD so I want to know what media will work???

There is a list at the teamxecuter website but i bought some of the media on that list and it didnt work.

So for all you unlucky people with thompsons such as myself CDs/DVDs did you use to flash and boot your xboxes?

i used

Maxell CD-RW (650mb) CD ReWritable

it worked fine (after two or three tries) and my thompson was one touchy son of a bitch (it hated playing even xbox games)

I used maxell silver cd-rw to flash always to good effect. I've also used imation which worked on all (12) but one to flash. I've tried sony cd-rw silver but the thompsons wouldn't read for flash purposes. I've used the above for boot (dash)disks with no difficulties.

laugh.gif I had the same problem... and solved it the same way... lmao. Thompsons suck. But I got another box and swapped it for a philips. Couldnt be more happy. Actually before I even got my chip flashed because I couldt get that goddamn thompson to work I used MA to bootup Evox. Easierst Way.
