I don't suppose this is going to work with elements like BOX for instance.

I hope it is going to. This way resourceless scripts can have cool effects too.

Well, I'll have to work on that one... shouldn't be too hard.

I also need to add the ability to set the rotation center (Currently the middle of the source rectangle)

Rotation isn't working right for me. Instead of just rotating the image about it's center, it stretches/displaces the image as well.

Hmmmm... OK. If I have time, I'll whip up a demo script to see what's happening (something like flattspott's demo script)
