Just reading the description of the X-Ecuter 2 lite programmer, it mentions
"Works on other LPC type modchips with little modification"
Can anyone clarify what it means by "little modifcation"?
Would it be possible to use this programmer to program any modchip that provides an LPC interface be it wired or via a header socket?
The reason I ask is that I'd like to build my own basic modchip using the LPC interface, however I need some way of initially flashing the chip I'll be using. Later on I'd like to add the ability for it to be flashable in place (as most mod chips do now)
So if I built a modchip using an as yet undecided flash rom and control chip to emulate the LPC interface with the intention of this chip been connected to the LPC section of the XBox motherboard, would this be programmable using the X-Ecuter lite programmer?
Also, although maybe a little offtopic for this forum, anyone know where I can read more about how the newer modchips work on the LPC interface without needing the disabled LFRAME pin?
Hope someone can make sense of what I'm getting at and help
