So I just recently finished doing a Xbox to PC case conversion. When I'm looking at any screen that is very dark or all black I can see lines rolling from the top to the bottom of the screen. It looks like when a VCR was very slightly off in it's tracking.

What complicates things further is that where there is a spike in the audio (someone yelling in a movie, etc) there are additional tiny lines that show for the duration of the spike ... and in the intensity of the audio.

Given that this isn't the original xbox case, could this be some sort of ground problem?

I've tried various cable configurations, to make sure there wasn't interference between the audio/video on the rca cables, but this doesn't seem to be the problem.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for the reponse. I was afraid this was the case. Any suggestions on where to start diagnosing this? If it's a shielding issue, what should be shielded?

Should I be shielding from outside rf interference or from something else in side the case?

Can someone pinpoint whether this is a shielding issue or a ground issue?
