Depends on the Kernel you have. Anything before 5713, or maybe it was 5530 (?!), you can downgrade the dash to 4920 and install UDE. UDE will boot straight into any dash you like. With UDE, you still have the option of loading back to your MS Dash for memory, music, settings, etc...

You need to be familiar with IRC and goto:

irc.efnet.net
#xbins

UDE works with any Dash or unsigned XBE in your C drive.

found it

Hex edit C:\MODxboxdash.xbe (the original C:\xboxdash.xbe you renamed above), and Hex edit the 2 occurrences of "fonts\" to "f0nts\" (note the zero in place of the 'o'). "fonts" in Unicode is 66 00 6F 00 6E 00 74 00 73 00

i dont get this step thought

Read the UDE thread. Theres a lot of posts asking the same thing but they're also a lot of answers. Even with 1000 posts it shouldn't take you long to find it smile.gif
