Dear xboxers

First the story...I tried to install the xbit by doing a soldering work. I used for it a huge 10*n W solder iron blink.gif and it just burn the tracks, so the box was fragged...but i saved it, by...:

the D0 point where the frag happened was something like:

o-broken------chip

--- (stands for trace)
o (stands for D0 point)

I bought a 25W pencil solder and start doing some things...

first i connect the lost trace to the D0 point with the wire from the modchip like...

o-====-----chip

== (stands for wire)

this means that using the wire for the D0 i repeared the lost trace

The xbox boot normaly but only the M$ dash????

I was frustated so i used a plastic thing to put pressure over the D0 point that gave the M$ dash and when i put pressure at the side of the trace then the precious X_ecuter arose from the depths.

So i solder the wire as

o-broken==---chip

th == leads to the modchip (xbit directly)

And the box now boots only from xecuter, but when i disable the mod (X-BIT) all i get is the frag combination ( green green red)...

Any clues? If you can understand a thing!!!

You mean to solder a wire from the D0 point at the back of the motherboard to the D0 point corresponding to the modchip (x-bit)? I'm having problems understanding the exact soldering i have to do, cause when i tried to fix the trace the xbox booted only the standard M$ dash

thanks for the answers
