Hi guys,
My first post here.

Do you think I should flash my Matrix with D.6 or 2.6 (this is Xbox v1.0). Also, should I use the EjectFix version or not?

Thanks, hope this wasn't too Noob.

You might as well use D.6.

The eject-fix just makes it so, when you eject your drive, the xbox doesn't reset, which can be damned annoying at times.

Also, I'd recommend going with a colormod.

D.6 has the same functions as 2.6, only it works on a v1.1 xbox too.
(D.6 actually the 2.6 and 3.6 bios in one file.)

If you have the eject fix version you can push the eject button without the xbox resetting.

But why not use the X2 bios?
Look here to see the difference between them.

uwwretch,
Do you mean Executer2? That chart doesn't really seem to make much of a difference between the two, other than Executer2 missing a couple of the minor features in the middle of the chart. Why would you choose that instead of Evox D.6?

Also, I'm surprised to see the difference between D.6 and 2.6, for instance the Error screen detail and the no-logo option.

Yes I mean the Xecuter 2.

There isn't much difference, but the X2 bios got the IGR (In Game Reset) function, but you can get it in EvolutionX (the dashboard) aswell, but in EvolutionX it reboots (not reset, go straight to dash). And the EvoX bios is supported by OpenXDK
But unless you are a dev. you don't have to worry about OpenXDK I think.
So the difference isn't big.

If you don't care about any of those features, just pick one smile.gif

Personaly I've customised them, and got both on the Xbox HDD and can switch at any time if I feel like it (Installed a couple of switches on my Matrix)
