Was just looking around the net and I found out that Macromedia released the source code as well as a SDK for their flash player some years ago.

I think this would be a great app to port and run on the Xbox. Many many swf files from Xiao Xiao to your random Newgrounds entry could be played on the TV.

JoeCartoon, Killfrog.....etc...etc..

Was just wondering if anyone has been thinking about doing such a feat.

Interested in hearing what people think about this as well.
I hope it isn't just wishful thinking.

There are a few good flash games out there(Alien Hommind...spelling?).... I know it isn't exactly an emulator, just not sure who or where to pitch this too.

you weould have to wonder how it would run though...
flash isnt a standard size it can be any size and
you will also have theos pesky apps that liek to get set full scrren to scale or not...
aside from that you would have to do a whole lot of odd button mapping
dont get me wrong
i love the idea, being a flash dev it would be great to put my stuff on the xbox...

but i think the closest you might see this get to a flash player might be a plugin on linksbox, and if you see that ill shit my freggin pants... dry.gif

but that just my 2 cents, cross your fingers...

There seems to be a bit of confusion in that people think that the flash player is only web based. That is not the case. If you do a net search for a flash player you will find a few seperate programs that are just flash (SWF) players made by individuals. (These do not feed from the macromedia web programs) It will play any SWF file (Grab and copy them from your temp internet folder), like a media player plays an mpeg,avi,mp3...whatever. Also, if you install Macromedia flash as well, there will be a seperate player among what you can install. Hope this clears a few things up. biggrin.gif
