Connecting Xbox To Router/switch

I connected my xbox to my router with integrated switch, and when I try using FlashFXP, I get :Connection Timed Out, What to do??

if you have a router, make sure you have DHCP set up. I've never been able to connect to my xbox if i use a static IP, so use a dynamic one if you can. Other than that just watch out for stupid things like plugging your computer or your xbox into the WAN port (because that wont work). I often have problems using port 1 on my routers because its an uplink port or whatever. Make sure you use the right port as well, port 21, if you have FXP set to connect to some other port it wont work.
