Wondering what should the jumper be set to on my new hdd. Also is it tru that if the hdd was used in a pc before then it wont work for xbox? unsure.gif

Hard drive should be set to cable select. And no it's not true that a HD from a PC won't work, I've used two drives from a computer before and they worked fine. If you do that it's better to not only format the drive, but to write zeros to the drive at least once before putting xbox data on it. This can be done using a program like WinHEX.

EDIT: Yes, you would use WinHEX on your computer.

No problem, since my xbox is dead (no video output no matter what I do) I have lots of time on my hands tongue.gif
