you are obviously new to the xbox. there is no way to get any unsigned code on your xbox hard drive and working without either installing a modchip or exploit.

An exploit or softmod will able you to cop game to the HDD. You can use a gamesave for your exploit (Read about it more in the exploits fourm) If you have a newer xbox, you ave a 1.6, which means that you need to use "UDE2" (Also in the exploit fourms)

A good place to buy a modchop is Bmmods or MCM

btw, if you have a 1.6, you MUST solder (you gotta rebuild the lpc)

To find out if you have a 1.6 or not, use the Version Detection Guide

1. Check out the Modchip Table

2. Get a chip from BMM orMCM

3. Install the chip

4. Put in bigger HDD

5. Put DVD2XBOX files on new hdd

6. Start playing backups (of games that you own)

Alright can you tell me what are some good hard drives to go in my xbox?

Would any computer hard drive work in here? like western digital, etc.?

I'm thinking about a 120 or 160 gig drive.. about how many games on ave. could that hold?

Thanks, Tyler

any hd will work (although you will need one that supports locking if you ever want to turn the chip off to play on xbox live, if not then ignore that bit)
a 120 gig hd will hold around 30 or so games.
and a 160 will hold about 42 or so games
(that is assuming the average game is 3.5 gig)

but to be honest just buy the biggest hard drive you can afford and whack it in there.
(when using a bios that supports lba48 you can theoretically use a hd upto 2terabytes in size [2096 gigabytes])
read the bios section of the forum for more info on lba48 bios
