I'd LOVE to see a Dragon32/ Tandy CoCo emulator ported. Maybe Xroar or something.
My wife had a Dragon 32 and she'd flip out if she could play it on the Xbox smile.gif

What about using somthing like IDA Pro to disassimble or debug something like freedo.exe, I wonder if that would give the code needed to port the emulator?? I dont know, just a thought..

Military free is fine be me. What's with all this association between military and video games in all the video game documentaires that have been popping up lately? You'd think they are trying to market mass murder before they have to draft, anyhow, all games listed have source on there page:

Exult:

You already know the link. smile.gif I'd die for a port I can complete on the XBOX. That was a port made some while ago, but never finished sadly enough. :/

Trackballs:

http://trackballs.sourceforge.net/

Worminator:

http://worminator.cl...ng.gamespy.com/

Clan Bomber:

http://clanbomber.sourceforge.net/

EgoBoo:

http://egoboo.sourceforge.net/

Neverball:

I'd be up for that too. smile.gif

Wormux:

http://www.wormux.org/

Risk:

http://jrisk.sourceforge.net/

We could use a Mouse based game or two... smile.gif

Enigma:

I'm up for it.

Hex-a-Hop:

http://www.nongnu.org/enigma/

Battle for Wesnoth:

http://wesnoth.org/

If any of these are already on the XBOX, feel free to let me know! smile.gif

Man, I would REALLY like to request QakeVPi (a 2D quake clone of sorts), but the author's old e-mail adress is dead and he never ported the source. Such a fun little game! smile.gif

Xport: I know you're not interested in qemu and I don't want to suggest that. I also know that what I'm suggesting might not be practical but having a look at the kqemu source code can't do any harm (http://fabrice.bella...u/download.html). As kqemu allows qemu's x86 instructions to be run natively its source may (or may not - I'm not a programmer) give you ideas on how to hack it for dosxbox or bochsx.

Of course I realise you can't just lift the code from kqemu and dump it straight into dosxbox and press a "magic compile" button but kqemu is GPL and might be worth a couple of minutes reading.

Adventure port.

Before you dismiss this as something that can be played on z26x, look closer.

Yes, it's an updated version with more difficulty settings, more items, and more map to cover, making the somewhat difficult classic even harder.

Personally, I would have liked to see a map editor go along with this, but I know we can't have everything. But, still: it'd be nice to see this port stabilized and ported to the Xbox.

Thoughts?

laugh.gif If only it was as simple as that.
You need to compile some code. To do that, you need to have a source code for the suitable IDE. Therefore, to compile a XBox program, you need a C source.
If a disassembler could just open a raw compiled executable and "save as" a C source file, the world would be different altogether!

Marathon is a classic game, and it's a shame nobody has ported it and the Aleph One engine to the Xbox. To me , the multiplayer feels allot like Halo, but then again they were made by the same people

http://marathon.sourceforge.net/
http://source.bungie.org/

Not sure how possible this is, but I thought I'd give it a shot

ePSXe is not open source, so that's not gonna happen.
Why not just use PCSXbox, it's a great emulator.

might run ok if you turn down all the graphics, but its a fun slasher game that uses the unreal engine and the multiplayer is still somewhat active

Im sure xport said he hates fps games...

I'm going to make the suggestion of The Spring Project: http://spring.clan-sy.com/

IPB Image

The FAQ page states that a 1ghz CPU would allow for 500 units on screen at once, possibly more if some of the graphical features were toned down or removed. I know this one isn't greatly likely, but I thought i'd throw it into the suggestion pot anyway.

edited for smaller image
