Is it possible to FTP an un-modded, un-changed or anything else, X-box? If it is could you please post how to do it or a link to a tutorial.

X-box info: v 1.6 totally un-changed from purchase other than I own Splinter Cell and play it(game saves the obvious etc.). Philips drive.

No, unless you use a game exploit or something. If you mean just like straight out the package, turn it on, then no you cant. Has to use a exploit or mod chip. Search the tutorials about gamesave exploits. I dont know much about 1.6 boxes though.

Splinter Cell is one of those exploitable game sav things.

The thing is though I'm trying to get ltools (soft-mod) to the X-box through FTP so I mean without that I don't know what to do really. Any thoughts or suggestions?

You know when you go to www.xbox-scene.com look at the top where it says TUTORIALS and start reading.

Oh uhhh... sorry scratch that then, but here's a better question, what's an IDE cable that's used for hotswapping? I know what the game save exploiting is but I don't have a memory card and none of the stores around here sell them for some reason so I'll move to the next option, hotswapping. All of the tutorails on hotswapping don't actually tell you what the IDE cable is so.... what is it?

Unless you have a friend with a modchip or TSOP flash, forget the hotswap.

An IDE cable is the cable that you hook up your hard drive and dvd to the motherboard with, it it the wide thin cable usually grey.
