hi, i'm new to the forum, and to xbox modding. I've got an xbox, but it's kinda a "family" system (my mom doesn't want me to mod it because she thinks i'll ruin it). So, i'm try to buy a new xbox, part by part, on ebay. The only thing is.... i don't know exactly what i need, other than motherboard, dvd drive, and power supply. So i was hoping u guys could tell me. thanx.

LMAO... it would cost you far more to do that, than to just save the 130 bucks, might be 120 to get one at gamestop used, or ebgames...
even try finding one in the BST forum....

dont do it part by part, chances are you will come across a compatability issue if you are this much a noob...

just buy a used one, you will save a lot of money. Or buy a premod.

Well you need the case first of all. And ya, why are you doing that? It will cost you a lot more to order each part than to just go and buy one. jester.gif

Case, dvd drive, mobo, daughterboard, ide cable, hd, psu, controller ports, fan, p/e assembly, power cord, a/v cord.

After buying a few of those + shipping for each seperate one, it will be much more than a used xbox. If you want one pre-modded and ready to go, I could do that for ya as well.

Xbox Motherboard
Xbox DVD Drive
A pre-formatted Xbox HD
PSU (Xbox Power Supply)
Case
2 controller port adapters
1 power button adapter

and make sure you have an IDE cable, and any other Xbox-specific cables.

ok, that's what i needed to know, and ur right, that probably would be more expensive. Used xbox's are only 120 at gamestop. And thanx, but i think i can mod it myself with the help of the tuts on here.
