after struggling, i managed to figure out to flash the banks 1 and 2 of the bios with flashbios and banks 3 and 4 with the stock m8_16.bin.
i want to have a G drive ('67') but the stock bios doesn't support it. so i fired up evtool, loaded m8, changed that one setting, saved under new name. but when i go to x2bm to create a bios (flashbios/m8), it refuses to load the bios that i just saved from evtool.
what do i need to do to get x2bm to recognize the bios i just changed?
is there some other way of doing this?
please, i'm going crazy. thank you
ps. i searched and searched and read and read. but i didn't find anything definitive. please help
edit: figured it out with the help irc. use evtool to create your modified m8, save it. for me, i wanted cromwell in banks 1/2, and m8 in 3/4. i went and got the flashbios2.6 and extracted the bin. at a dos prompt, i did: "copy /b cromwell.bin + m8hack.bin + m8hack.bin bios.bin" of course, without the quotes and with the correct file names. burn as usual, flash.
