I got x2.6 programmer and try to re-program my x2.6 (bad flash with 4183 on 1.6). well, I had no luck to get my pc detect it. No matter what kind of setting I tried, it wouldn't see x2.6 or anything.

please help!

I used the same cable with I used to program my x2.2 programmer with x2cable.exe
now the bad thing is my x2.2 programmer won't do x2.6. and after I messed things up, x2cable won't see my x2.2 programmer any more.

can someone clarify the requirement:

- what kind of cable?
- how long?
- what kind of LPT settings: ECP, EPP, PS/2 bi-directional?
- OS: windows 2k, XP, 98 ???

I swear if I figure this thing out, I would do a detail tutorial... there's nothing like it right now.

laugh.gif your in luck I just figuered my problem out yester day (it took me to **** long)

I used USB power
I connected the programer directly to the port
I did not connect the extra wire !! that did whatever
I selected the all of the two options in the manager program
(I flicked the tab on the chip)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the ver select to 1.0-1.2 from 1.3-1.5 I think

thats it flick the switch. thats it you will see a picture of a chip when it works

as far as I know I have not seen this fix (select ver 1.0-1.2) any ware
so spred this if it works there are a lot of people with this problem.

wow, it works for you ehh??

thanks for sharing.

it still didn't work for me.

today, I just tried a 3 foot 25pin cable instead of 6 = no luck
I also use USB power

what I don't understand is: it should be easier to flash the chip using COM port (serial) or USB. Why the F they didn't do it?

btw, what's your LTP's setting? are you running XP?

thx

FINALLY GOT IT!!! Well for my 2.3b lite anyways, but give it a try w/ your 2.6s as well. First off, forget X2BM and download X2Pro 2kXP version. Yeah, its not as convenient, but it at least recognizes the chips. You'll then have to open the command prompt and go to where you unrarred your files. Type X2Pro and hit enter... it will then bring up a list of commands. When you're ready to flash make sure to type in the exact location of the file you're trying to flash with (ie C:\xbox\evox.bin etc.). I'm currently in the process of flashing my 2.3b, so if this works, hurray! At least I can see my chip w/ something now!

Good luck!

ps If this works, I'll type up a tutorial...
