X2.6 Programmer Help
Posted 06 October 2004 - 04:31 PM
I used the same cable with I used to program my x2.2 programmer with x2cable.exe
now the bad thing is my x2.2 programmer won't do x2.6. and after I messed things up, x2cable won't see my x2.2 programmer any more.
can someone clarify the requirement:
- what kind of cable?
- how long?
- what kind of LPT settings: ECP, EPP, PS/2 bi-directional?
- OS: windows 2k, XP, 98 ???
I swear if I figure this thing out, I would do a detail tutorial... there's nothing like it right now.

I used USB power
I connected the programer directly to the port
I did not connect the extra wire !! that did whatever
I selected the all of the two options in the manager program
(I flicked the tab on the chip)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the ver select to 1.0-1.2 from 1.3-1.5 I think
thats it flick the switch. thats it you will see a picture of a chip when it works
as far as I know I have not seen this fix (select ver 1.0-1.2) any ware
so spred this if it works there are a lot of people with this problem.
can't have LuTH with out a little u

thanks for sharing.
it still didn't work for me.
today, I just tried a 3 foot 25pin cable instead of 6 = no luck
I also use USB power
what I don't understand is: it should be easier to flash the chip using COM port (serial) or USB. Why the F they didn't do it?
btw, what's your LTP's setting? are you running XP?
