a friend gave me an xbox that the has the original hd and dvd-rom and applex v1.1 chip. Can anyone tell me if i can copy xbox games with this xbox. the xbox is directly connected to a computer

You can copy games to the free space in the E: Drive, but not many. You'll need to FTP them or rip them to the HD from disc with dvd2xbox

If you mean back up games using the PC and then burn them to DVD then yes you can do that no problem. Have a look in the tutorials on how to do this.

Oh, is that what he meant? Shit. Yeah, you can FTP into the dash or your choice and copy the files straight to your PC HDD via FTP, and use an xISO maker to build a proper image, then burn it with Nero or whatever you like.

Do as Chancer says and find a good guide.
