Having issues with ftp'ing to my xbox.
Setup NIC card to:
no home network or router, using dial up internet.
removed dial up adapter to ensure that is not interfering
no Firewall
IP address taken from XBOX settings
FTP is enabled on xbox, and shows xchip pwd.
using crossover RJ45

1. ethernet connection is good, green lights on NIC card.
2. if power off xbox returns "CONNECTION UNPLUGGED"
3. in xbox settings network speed changes when I change it (ex: 10 full, 10 half, 100 full etc...)
4. if i set my NIC card to same IP as xbox PC returns a device already has that IP address.

when trying to ftp returns message: CONNECTION FAILED (CONNECTION TIMED OUT)

Any idea's out there?

you don't say what program you are using to FTP, but i had timeout problems with filezilla until i changed the settings to allow only one transfer at a time.

seems like there may be an issue with the xbox and multiple transfers at once.

Promblem resolved.

Had to change the IP on the xbox to 1920168.0.3, and change a few other settings.

Thanks for the replies.
