When I had my old black case fitted the CPU used to run at about 55.5C after it had been on for a while! It now runs at 52.5! How come it is running cooler with the crystal case?

Some people have said that version 1.6s have hard times getting accurate temperature readings.

Hmmm....actually B1ack1CE, you're the dumbass! Black doesn't attract heat, it simply absorbs it more easily than other colours. So do your research then come talk.

D1CK!
It was just a question, no need for attitude!

But it is still the same board etc so surely if it was temp inaccuracy it would still be the same?

Yeah your the dumbass, Black absorbs light, white reflects it. Therefore the light makes black hot... not heat. So black has nothing to do with it. moron

Still, heat is not the reason the color black gets hotter than the rest.

guys stop bitching, who really cares.

it could be

-heat/color
-material of the plastic (chemicals used in the plastic)
-Innacurate temperature readings
-superior cooling in newer boxes

honeslty, who really cares. 3 degrees celcius isnt that big of a deal. it is not something to start a thread over. rly, 3 degrees, NO BIG DEAL. if it was the difference between 200 degrees and 53 degrees, that is different - but who cares about 3 measly degrees?

ok ill give you that, but light with the black case will cause an increase in temperature.

did you remove any of the metal shielding for the crystal case transfer? if you did, maybe there is better airflow through your box, cooling things off more.

Another theory of mine is if you used a cheaper crystal box, maybe the thinner/less dense plastic allows heat to escape easier. Maybe the black boxes insulate the heated innards a little more, trapping heat in more effectively.
