I just started a 16 LED underglow on my LE Halo case. Wow this is going to be a lot of soldering. I am using green 5mm LEDs wired in parallel with a 5V source voltage. I'll post pics when done.

OT I really need to finish the low profile box.

It looks much better on something other than a stained wood table. I will try to get some pics of it on a different surface. It has 5 LEDs along each sides and 6 LEDs along the front all wired in parallel. A lot of soldering.

Thanksgiving is coming up and I plan on doing a lot of work to it then. I just bought some more sandpaper, Dupli-Color primer, and Dupli-Color clear coat today. I looked and looked at the paint but could decided on a color.

where did you mount the leds on the sides, under the lip? and did you make your own led strip thing like they use on the led rings?

The LEDs are mounted to the bottom of the case with the help of a very small dab of hot glue. I made sure to be tedious with the hot glue knowing that it is visible through the case. It even looks good from outside the case with the lights off. As far as wiring goes, I used 30 gauge kynar wire. Each LED had a separate wire running from it to the next LED. Plus its a parallel circuit so actually each LED has two wires going to the next LED.

Yeah, I'm wodnering the same. You could always use like twisty ties ro something to suport the LEDs to be straight. I like this 10x better than a damn EL wire, which is fugly. I'm working on a 360 degree Red LED glow system (underglow, side panels, back underglow). Will be around 45 LEDs. I actually might also work on a 2 color LED system, each color having it's own switch. The second color will be white. This is a large wiring project, but I'm going to get my hardware jobs done first.

So you put a switch on that right? Looking really good. Should look even better with the controller ports and everything done. I really like that kinda of green led too. Good work. And good luck with the controller ports and everything beerchug.gif

As of yet no, but I plan to when i wire up the rest of the LEDs. Actually when sitting level with the xbox across the room on the couch it is not as blinding as it looks. It does not affect game play or movie watching at all. It would be nice to watch movies in the complete dark though, hence the switch.
