hi Im getting red flashing light and no picture what so ever..i just found out that a small electrical charge through my eeprom could do this is eeprom fixable? im a bit of a newb..also could getting a new main board could this mend eeprom???? any help cool ........thanx smile.gif

If you can borrow an xbox with a solderless chip that is ideal.. Aside from manual programming, a chip is needed to fix this.. Search this forum for "embedded eeprom"..

If you replaced the motherboard, you would have a new eeprom. The catch is, the harddrive was locked to the data that was on your old eeprom. So if the drive was locked & you didn't have a backup of the eeprom data from the old board. Your drive is now useless...

problem is i know i am chipped with (im an obvious newb) a 4 wired thing! but i fink i fried my bloody eeprom with out even nowing wat the basted waz!!!!...................please gis a lamens terms sum1!

You actually don't even need an eeprom chip with a modchip.. Your box won't work without the modchip though..

Just in case, what else could the red light flashing with no picture at all, mean?
