I get a warning when I start up AvaLaunch telling me that I have low memory on my E:\ Drive (242 MB) and that it can and will cause problems.

Is this true? How much free memory do I need on my E:\ Drive? I don't have my xbox online. So I am not constantly downloading things.

My stock drive basically consists of one game 4.5 Gigs, the ltools backup and my game saves. and it shouldn't really change from that unless my gamesaves get a bit larger.

So is 242 MB enough?

Thank you for your time

I don't think you really need to worry about it much, the worst that would probably happen is that it'll freeze or something.

If it annoys you that much back the 4.5 Gig game on a DVD -R and run off it. Test it and make sure it works than delete if off your E Drive.

Well it probly is bad because the free space on E is used for virtual memory. So If you play big games they may run slow.

I think you meant as cache? In that case the XBox has the X, Y and Z drives for use as "virtual memory".

I tried to transfer GentooX (compiled) from Xbox A to B. It freezes on transferring Rootfs.

Then I Ftp GenttoX to PC...then to B....GentooX worked Fine.

Getting Stuck on AVA to AVA transfer might be due to the low memory in E (I have GentooX there).

If I try to get rootfs and swap to F...then Transfer by PC method...GentooX doesn't work. Did not try through AVA AVA transfer.
