OK, so I had a bad flash with a 2.6 tonight, and I honestly can't wait to buy a programmer (never had good luck with it before). Is it possible to stick the 2.6 onto the headerpins of my X3 and connect the d0 cable to it and flash it somehow? Could anyone give me a step by step on this one, never done a hotswap before...

Thanks in advance

What all do I need to connect to the 2.6? just onto the pin header? Alt. 5v I assume as well, what about the d0 harness and the front switches for the 2.6?

think about it man.....you will need the 2.6 switch...without it how would it know what bank to flash...if its a 1.6 xbox than yeah use the extra 5v connection...the pin header is the same for x3 and 2.6....and yes plug in the do to the 2.6 as well...flash and have fun

i guess if your using a 1024 bios then it wont matter...but if he just wants to flash one bank i would think you will need the switch attached....try it and see what happens..if it doesnt work then attach the switch...done
