Hello,

Anyone notice that Onimusha is too big to fit a regular DVD??

I tried UDF which is obviously 4.37 gigs max.

I also tried Xiso and gdfimage to make a Iso Xbox format and it doesn't work either.

So I suspect that Xbox DVD disk have more than 2048 bytes/sector.

Can anyone confirm that or help me on that??

Thank you

Pitou.

Is it dual layer??

Maybe that could explain.

From the NFO file of the ProjectX release
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This game was too big to fit on a normal General Purpose DVD-R without
ripping some stuff. Since there was Japanese and English versions of
all of the FMV sequences, we just ripped 2 of the Japanese ones and
relinked them to the English ones. The section checksums are also
fixed in this release, So you do not need to rely on a mod chip to
do that for you. Enjoy this great game.

Remove the (e) movie files from the movie directory. These are the Japanese video and are only needed if you set you default language to Japanese.

Great guys, thanks.

But I would like to know how come this is the case??

Dual layer DVD? Xbox custom DVD format permits to hold more data??

Does anyone know the answer?

Thank you.

Pitou.
