1. How do you get Evolution to run the xbox dashboard? I read somewhere that the original dashboard must be renamed to something like msdashboard.xbe. Is that the correct name? Does the menu.ini need to have a link to that name? (Last night I tried whatever name the tutorial gave me but it didn't work)

2. Why is the .NET framework necessary for some xbox tools such as the ISO-Extractor? What does it enable the programmer to do?

3. Has anyone ever had confirmed overheating problems with a 7200RPM drive?

Thanks

1) The correct name is msxboxdash.xbe Put it in the root of C, and you're all set. The menu entry is hardcoded to run it like that.

2) The developer must have used the .NET development tools when they built it. Remember vbrun300?

3) I have a 7200rpm drive which I've left overnight doing an FTP transfer without any problems. I haven't heard anyone who has had a problem.

Just for the record I renamed mine...

Dash_01_OrigMS.xbe (Original dash.)
Dash_02_DVDX.xbe (DVDX modified dash incase I ever need it again.)
