I'm trying to get ahold of Ldots, to see how he built Ltools, but since I see a little competition brewing I took on making a UXE installer. Hehe, Spaceboy727 here decided to swipe my plans smile.gif. I'll be interested to see how his works, since MXM doesn't really have any good functions for stuff like backing up the system.

Anyhow, I'm getting to work on this. Ldots used the Xbox Live Linux system to allow Gzipping files and such and unfortunatley this makes it a BITCH to get working right!

MXM has RAR support?
Hm, interesting.

If I can't find out how to break into the Linux files Ldots put on here I might just give you a leg up with that MXM stuff. Or just build my own, y'know, whatever, haha!

And awal, that could be possible but I don't wanna just release some half ass edit. I wanna upgrade everything to the newest exploits and such.

i've already updated ltools 1.8RC1
I fixed EEE, updated pblmetoo, M8 and nkpatcher7

I also made a second save for the EEE, like this , when EEE is on, you can still use both EEE and Mechassault from DVD exploit.
I tested it on a few xboxes and it always worked

but a few options are in french... if you are interested I can translate it

I also updated ltools 1.7.5 to install UXE insted of UDE/UDE2, this was before ltools 1.8RC1 came out so they are kind of outdated.

ltools is so good, why remake it from scratch?
-it's the only installer that detect your kernel version and use the good bert.xtf
-make a compressed backup of C-drive
-applies patches to generate the good xbe
-can switch to EEE (1.8RC1 didn't work for me so I made a MXM script to switch between EEE and UXE)
-can chose between 4 dashes

when i pulled apart ltools all it had in it was bert-generic.xtf and when i checked out the scripting he didnt have any kernel command in there, it just checked to make sure the dash wasnt pre-live (look for the presence of one folder)

not talkin trash about ltools or anything, its easily the best installer out there but i just feel like making it...why not

ltools 1.7.5 uses generic bert, and ltools 1.8RC1 and my modified version use kernel specific
