My 1.3 Xbox has been acting very weird ever since I tested a Xenium Ice solderless chip in it. I couldn't get that chip to work properly so I put my Xbit 1.0 back in, which up till then worked flawlessly. Now my Xbox has a booting problem.
It sometimes needs several restarts before it will boot, and then only by pressing the eject button. When it fails to boot it FRAGS. The power button will cause it to FRAG all the time. Let's say 9 out of 10 times it won't boot, but I have had occasions where it starts from the first attempt.
When I eventualy get it to start and then select Reboot from the Evox menu, it restarts and FRAGS, so I have to start pressing the eject button again until it does reboot. This is very annoying. I have checked the installation of the XBit and all is OK. I have even taken it out, and then the Xbox does exactly the same, so the chip is not the cause.
Anyone have any suggestions?
