I am probably going to be getting a new xbox, wich should end up being a 1.6. I have heard that there are problems with the cheap ram M$ puts in the new Xboxes. Would it be possible to switch my ram from my old 1.0 to my new 1.6 xbox? Just making sure...

I wouldn't chance it, the ram in an Xbox is surface mount (solders right to the top of the board with Tiny-ass pins) and is real easy to fuck right up.
Take it to somone who has done a few of these succesfully and get them to do it, save yourself some grief.

i wouldn't run the risk of changing the ram. leave it as it is...even if it's cheap. the new version of the M8 bios supports it correctly
