Okay i need some help with xboxhdm.....long story short, my bro in law and i tried to change the dash on his softmodded box and messed something up. I DO HAVE A BACKUP!!! Now when we boot it it has error 5 and 6 and sometimes 21. I have built the cd for xboxhdm with his eeprom backup and the modded box backups to c and e folder respectively. But when we try and access linux with hdd on master and cd on slave it starts to load linux then immediately reboots. I have searched and found alot of people asing this question about the rebooting but no answers as of yet. I also do have a Xenuim modded v1.0 if i can save this drive some way using mine. I beleive the pc we are using reboots because it wont boot linux for some reason. Any help with this rebooting problem would be greatly appreciated.

yep... sounds like and incompatibility between linux (xboxhdm) and your pc

you could try booting a linux live distro like knoppix (free download), maybe that will give you a bit more feedback in stead of just rebooting

also, try to find an update for your pc bios (search the motherboard manufacturers website for this)

there are also scenario's hotswapping the hd to a chip-modded xbox, and then ftp-ing in to correct the corrupt softmod but i'm not too familiar with them...

Turn off any security settings in your PC Bios that may stop XboxHD booting.

Also try booting the cd with only the power
cable plugged into the Hard Drive you wish to
rebuild, then when the menu comes up
connect the IDE cable on the CD-ROM and s
elect what you want.

Let me know how you get on. ph34r.gif
