25 watt is just too damn hot for This kind of thing. I'd tak it back and get a 15, 20 Max.

I just went down to a 30w soldering iron...my old one was a 45watter. Not a problem, but if you're new to this I would say go with anything thats between 15-30watts. It just gives you more time to correct a problem....hehe. And if you do ANY work on the traces...use the 15w.

25 watts is no problem. Too low a power and the solder will not flow correctly and the job becomes harder.
People who advise using the lowest power iron possible do not understand how to correctly solder so relax and use the 25watt.

Thanks Guys, i was thinking bout taking it back for a lesser watt, but after your help and some help off a friend who said 15 watt will just take longer, ill stick with it. thanks.
