Well I need to get a new head unit for my car and gonna make sure it plays CD-R and MP3 and WMA.

I'm still not sure about how to get the old shitty cassete player out, it seems like it's stuck tight and I can't find any screws to take it out.

I tried pulling it out but nothing happend, didn't move the slightest.

Does anyone know how to take it out. My car's a Nissan Micra

since you didn't give a year of what car it was I couldn't really do anything but all I did was type in google what you wanted to do "take out cassette in Nissan Micra" and it came up with tons of responses.
So why not try that.

Your answers in every post seem to be "Just search Google". I'd wager that MOST people have heard of google and know it's an option.

As for removing the stereo a lot of cars require a "special tool" Essentially we're talking 2 pieces that slide in on each side of the stereo and push in 2 latches holding it in. I've managed to use small flathead screw drivers to accomplish the same feat.

Check a local stereo store or best buy and theyll have these things for sale if you want to buy them. If not, at least you know what it's gotta look like. And also, MAKE SURE, using Google or whatever source that this is, infact, how your stereo is held in.

Here's a pic from Crutchfields site....

Only aftermarket decks use this method.

Several stock setups use this method. Ford Tauruses do to give one example.

well then if most people would know about it then most people wouldn't be asking these questions since all you have to do is type it in google and the answer is usually within the first page.
I mean unless people just want someone else to do it for them.

Well, let's just shut down the site then since Google already has the answers, then this site has no purpose.

I was just saying something like taking a car stereo out for a specific model of car the odds someone on this site would know are pretty slim but compaired with google which probably has 1000's of websites dedicated for just that.

Yes and I do work for google my name is Ben Google and I'm the silent partner that holds 50% of the stock...muwhahaha.....oh wait..... blink.gif
