I have modded my xbox with an evox dashboard and a X-Chip. It was working fine but now when I boot it up I get the dreaded message "Your Xbox requires service. Please call XBox Customer Support". The error code in the top left corner is 16. WHen I try to plug in my original HD, I still the same problem. Can anyone please help!!!!!

Error 16 = dashboard - Other files to do with dashboard / dashboard settings (specific dashboard error)

You get the same error on you original, UNTOUCHED retail drive? That's odd (unless you messed with it at some point).

The simplest solution is to get Slayers from slayers.xbox-scene.com and boot it, then run menu option 4a10 to repair your MS Dash.

I modded the original drive also, but I know it worked before I replaced it with the bigger one. How can I connect to the drive to repair it? I do not seem to be able to FTP to it.

Thats the best option as rebuilds the MS dash and does it correctly, and its always good to have a copy of slayers.

Sorry for being dense, but if it rebuilds the MSDash, what will it do to all the mods I did on the new hard drive? (I.E. Evox Dashboard etc).

Also is the slayer site down, don't seem to be able to get to it.

Sorry, I fucked up the link. Try again. It's 1:30 AM and 18 degrees F here,

And if you ONLY run option 4a10 (and don't do something stupid like running 3a1) Full Install blah-blah-blah which will format the whole damn drive), you're golden.

Any way you could send me the actual download for the slayer. Looks like the site is down. You can't register.

No, it's up and running and the registration page is functioning fine. Go use it. wink.gif

Furthermore, I'm not sending anybody anything illegal, and you can't ask for it. Even asking is against the rules.
