well i was just trying to desolder the lpc points since i have a v1.0 xbox and i wanted to install a mod chip. i couldnt get them desoldered correctly so i gave up for the night and put it back together and turned it on. there's a solid green light but no audio/video/eject. i read the http://www.xbox-scen...ticles/leds.php.
is there any way to fix this?

I would guess you splashed solder somewhere it shouldn't be...check the board around the LPC again.

Also check for burned out connections, that happened to me alot and I had to rebuild them.

I think it's easier to just leave the solder in on the 1.0's, just use the wire "tinning" technique, and have the all of the wires point in the same direction. I was able to do it my first time soldering.

desoldering is easy on a 1.0 just remeber to use a fine tip iron and make sure set at the right wattage and if your new to desoldering you should use a solder pump case the wick can put too much heat in other places if not used properly
