inside xmbc, go to my videos. on the list of directories you should see something(cant remember what exacty is says, and cant check cause i jsut screwed my xbox) that goes to a network, about the network name.. try them all and see which brings you to the network your comps are on.. like for example, my network name is mshome, and it shows up with all of the shared files, and i can go to it from that. sorry that i cant give exact details

You will either have to use a crossover cable to connect your Xbox to your PC or you will have to use a router to connect the two together. Once you have them connected together, on the same IP subnet, use a streaming server such as ccXgui to create shares on your PC. Google for ccXgui and you'll find the download and instructions.

example, my xbox ip is 192.168.2.__ the computer is a .2 too. the "2"'s have to match

and you have to right click and "share" the folders on your home network

if youre using a router, the IP subnet is it's ip address. The most important step is to make sure you install a server on your computer (like filezilla server 8.8) and on your PC right click the folders you want access to (from your xbox) and select > properties > sharing > share this folder on the network.
