Im Wanting To Mod My Xbox But I Dont Know

im not experienced with soldering, im not familiar with all the terminology, and im not sure what parts and software i need. I know this is probably all over the faqs buti was wondering if anyone could just give me a list of parts and software needed to get going.... oh yeah i have the first version of xbox and a 160 gig hard drive...........thanks alot

LOOK IN THE FAQS NOBODYS GONNA HELP IF YOU DONT SEARCH OR LOOK UNDER THE FAQS OR TUTORIAL SECTION!!!!!

You should make some attempt at research before posting questions.

But my suggestion would be.

Chip with solderless adaptor (I use a Xenium chip but there are others)
A copy of Auto installer deluxe

Read the manual for the chip and loading AID and then build from there cool.gif

thanks for your help i have been readeing the tutorials but it can get kind of complicated the more you get into it. at first i thought it was just put a chip in your box i didnt know about bios and dashboards and all that but im trying

We all start somewhere, I had a Chameleon chip for my xbox before I got the Box. Put it in and it came up asking for a BIOS disk????? No body told me about that!

Thats when I found Xbox scene and in over 12 months since modding my first xbox I have never not found a solution by reading the Tuts and this forum.

Use it as a great resource but do your best to search and read first.

Also remember there are no hard and fast rules in modding an xbox everybody has their favorite method, my suggestion is just how I would do it.
