When you burn a dvd+r, the xbox dvd drive can decect this and may have a problem with reading the disc, Most commpanys who make dvd writers supply a booktype editing program on their website that makes the writer burn the disc in a DVD-ROM standard making it more compatible.

Just go to the home page of the writer producer, and it will be under there "downloads" section.

BitSetting:
For a DVD player or drive to identify what kind of disc is loaded, it queries the so called "Book Type Field" found in the lead-in section of each DVD disc. These few bits, commonly referred to as "compatibility bitsettings" tell the drive which low-level format specification does the media conform to, such as DVD-ROM, DVD+R or DVD+RW.

What is there site, the programs are specific to your DVD writer, so you need to know the name of it, you could always try using google.

Goto videohelp first and see if your drive can even do bitsetting. If it can and you use nero, it will show up as a check box in the burn tab.

Like I said, check your dvd writer on the site I listed above and see if it can do bitsetting.

Down the left hand side of www.videohelp.com there should be a tab called DVD Writers or DVD Burners. Start there.

It would be under the Connection Buffer, Bit field like in this one. Looks like your burner doesn't support it.
