I would like to know - Best Bios for this chip?
I saw a thread on leaving this chip on buy grounding d0, can bios still be flashed with d0 grounded?
Can d0 be grounded anywhere?
Can I flash the bios from a cd?
any help would be appreciated

To enable a mod chip, the d0 point is grounded. Soldering the motherboard's d0 point to any close gound on the board will cause the chip to be enabled always, thus not needing the other extra wires to the D0, BT and L1.
Grounded = Connected to any ground point.
You can burn a XFlash disk with bios on it to flash your Aladdin. Read more about these chips.

So i tried the BT to ground, and the clock stays and the chip is always on.
So i guess the BT to ground is the way to go if you want the chip to be always on and not get the clock reset.

Another strange thing is that it's the only chip i have managed to get towork on this mobo.
It's an 1.4 xbox (i have moded a few of them before, without any problems).
I have tried Xecuter 2 pro (Frags) and Xenium Ice( Blinks two times on the chip then there's no more light on the chip and the led on the eject button blinks red, and with long intervals it blinks green in the chip and green on eject button, and no video)
But the aladdin works as i should, strange to me!?!?
Any of you greate people have any idea why??

It's not BT as well.
D0 is on the chip now, not to ground, Only BT is grounded.
And it works as i want it to.
I don't like the Aladdin chip, but it came with the box(got it cheap kos of error 21, an easy fix), supid to have to hold the button for 2 sec. for it to enable the chip so that if i reboot or use IGR it boots to retail bios very smart (not).
If it had been, hold for 2 sec for retail bios it would have been usabel, but thats what i would have wanted.
But i can't get any other chip to work in the box (so i'm stuck with it) so BT to ground does it for me.

No its not because you have an Advance plus chip. this only applies to XT chips. With this chip its easier still and you still have it different to how it should be (leave it if it works)
For always on with the advance all you do is ground the xbox D0 and thats it.

Yes I did that at first, but that made my clock reset every time i swithed on my Xbox.
And i did not want that. It's working fine now.
Anyone got any idea way i can't get it to work with any other chip(see above).
