Help! Hdd Locked Dead With Xboxhdm!

My hdd is locked dead with my faulty manual imputing password(stupid though smile.gif , but i had to do it for some reason), how could i unlock it now?

Did you use the locking tools on the cd or did you just use the dos utils to do it? If you used the cd, then your master pasword should be XBOXSCENE..

i locked it with the tools which is the linux locking/unlocking utils, wats the master pwd used for? does that mean i can unlock the hdd with XBOXSCENE wateva the pwd i set?

Correct, get atapwd.exe (from the tools on this site) and unlock/disable with XBOXSCENE.. Had you use'd the dos floppy you'd be screwed..

no the dos floppy does save a log of the password you inputted on the floppy. so you can also recover with that if you used it but you didnt. at least thats the case with the boot floppy image included with it.
