I want to make the most effecient backup of a game so that I don't have a noisy dvd drive when playing the backup.

Enter MooGUI. I tried out moogui and for the most part it seems to work well. But my questions are:

Are the Qwix optimizations comparable?

Will creating an ISO by going from XBOX D: to ISO on PC (in QWIX) do the same thing as creating an ISO with a layout file in MooGUI?

Which is better why/when?

Qwix optimization is just relinking videos to make the iso size smaller on your cpu. It will not affect gameplay at all. MooGui is what I use and recreates an exact layout of the files on the original game disk.

Example: Every game developer orders files for a reason, the original make look like:

But once you use qwix or ftp the files it looks like this:

So all the files are out of order and the game loads much slower.

Layout Optimization and MooGui is much better.
